Cedar Village is a Active Adult, 55+ Over 55 Community in Brick, Ocean County, NJ. In fact, many people think that it’s the nicest active adult community in Brick. And we agree. It’s in a great location, because it’s close to major transportation routes. In addition, it’s convenient to the beaches at the Jersey Shore, golf courses, boating and shopping. Cedar Village was built between 1999 and 2001, and in fact there are 225 homes in this community. These homes come with either two or three bedrooms and they also have two car garages. At the heart of Cedar Village is the clubhouse. It is located on a small, picturesque lake, with a dock that extends out into the lake. Transportation

The Department of Transportation Services county transit system, Ocean Ride, provides bus transportation throughout Ocean County. The Reserve-A-Ride Program has 12 local bus routes to shopping, other adult communities.social services and more.  And New Jersey Transit has a bus depot nearby in Toms River. You can also go to Lakewood to catch local and express bus service to points north on the Route 9 corridor.

Easy access to major roadways make it easy for you to get to, well, anywhere. Hop on the Garden State Parkway to go to Atlantic City or New York. Or if you prefer, New Jersey Transit provides train service to New York from the Bay Head station.

Recreation, Shopping and Dining

If you like boating, there are many marinas in the area which allows you to dock your new (or old) boat close to home. Boating is great on the Metedeconk River. Enjoy the many parks in Ocean County. Or go for a walk on the boardwalk or the beach in Point Pleasant.

Free concerts are produced at Windward Beach during the summer. Just bring a lawn chair and enjoy top local bands. Or you can visit the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank for musicals, play and more. Try Uncle Vinny’s Comedy Club in Point Pleasant for a fun night out.

Shopping is abundant on Route 70 and Hooper Ave., most anything you need is there. And there are two major malls within a 30 minute drive in Toms River and Eatontown. You have an abundance of choices for dining also. Most major chains are in the area, and there are some fantastic seafood restaurants nearby in Point Pleasant.

Medical Care

Ocean Medical Center is located in Brick, on Jack Martin Blvd. And where there’s a hospital, there are many medical practices and other medical facilities.

Ocean County also provides a medical transport service. The Reserve-A-Ride program provides door-to-door, non-emergency medical transportation service. This is available to seniors (age 60 and over). Advance reservations are necessary, however, there will be a minimal fee charged.
