Country Walk of Lake Ridge is 55+ Active Adult Over 55 Community in teh Whiting sections of Manchester, Ocean County. Construction started in 2004. As with most adult communities, the Homeowners Association (HOA) is responsible for lawn maintenance and snow removal. Some of the homes are attached. These homes have a higher monthly HOA fee, however, the HOA also maintains the exterior of the building. Additionally, your pets are welcome here.
The Homes
There are 188 single family detached homes in Country Walk with an additional 116 attached courtyard homes. All homes are single level 2 bedrooms, 2 baths with either a 1 or 2 car garage. Sizes range from 986 to 2441sq.ft. Homes typically sell from around $100,000 to around $250,000. The lower priced homes are the carriage homes, which are smaller and attached.
The Country Walk Manchester Amenities
This community has a Club house, fitness center, billiard room, library, outdoor pool, tennis, bocce, shuffleboard, jogging & biking paths. The clubhouse is where you’ll go in order to make new friends and socialize with your neighbors. At the clubhouse, you’ll find many activities. There is also a community bus. Although Country Walk does not have a golf course, there are many public and private courses in the area. And – the Jersey Shore beaches are a short ride away.
Transportation
Ocean County provides transportation for seniors (aged 60 and older). Ocean Ride is a shopping bus service. This operates on a set schedule, taking people to supermarkets, malls and other transportation hubs. This is a free service.
Another transportation service is Reserve-A-Ride, which provides non emergency transportation to any medical facility in Ocean County. There is a small fee associated with this. Additionally, you’ll need advance reservations.
