Horizons at Woodlake Greens
Horizons at Woodlake Greens is a 55 + Active Adult, Over 55 Community in Lakewood, Ocean County. This is a project that was originally developed by Kara Homes, a national builder that went bankrupt. This project was only partially completed at the time. A local builder built a few homes, but didn’t finish the project. Yet another builder finished the community under the name Legacy at Woodlake Greens. New construction is no longer available, but there are usually resales available. Horizons at Woodlake Greens is conveniently located because it’s on the Lakewood / Brick border.
The Homes
Starting in 2007, single family detached homes were built with either two or three bedrooms. Additionally, the homes have a two car garage.The original designs had either a finished loft or an unfinished walk up attic. Ryan Homes completed the community and offered designs with a different set of floor plans. All homes feature the master bedroom suite on the first floor. Some of the homes have a basement. The last homes were built in 2014 and there are a little over 200 homes in total.
The Amenities
The clubhouse is the social hub of Horizons at Woodlake Greens. Features include card rooms, a multi purpose room and billiards. Additionally, you’ll find an arts and crafts studio and bocci. Clubs, trips and socials add to the package. When the weather is warm, enjoy the outdoor pool. In addition, there’s a well equipped fitness center so that you can stay in shape. And you can enjoy local activities such as fishing, boating, golf, dining and more.
Transportation
The Ocean Ride program provides bus transportation within Ocean County. There are 12 bus routes connecting key residential areas with popular destinations. Also you can get connections to other means of transportation. And non-emergency medical transport is also provided. Advance reservations are required, but there is a fee involved.
