Silveridge Park West
It’s located south of Route 70, additionally it’s a few miles west of the Garden State Parkway exit 82. In addition, medical care is minutes away at Community Medical Center. All in all, it’s a great location.
Sorry, but this community does not provide grass cutting and snow removal. But, this is why the monthly association fee is low. And, when combined with low taxes, this is why it’s a popular place for seniors to live
The Homes
There are about 16,000 adult community homes in the “Holiday City” area. There are nine separate communities, and Silveridge Park West is one of them.
When construction started in Silveridge Park West in the mid 1970s, the detached houses had typically 2 bedrooms. The homes for sale have either 1 or 2 baths, and most have a 1 car garage. Furthermore, gas heat is normal, with most homes having hot water baseboard heat and hardwood floors.
The Clubhouse
Here you will find the social hub of the community. After you move in, this is where you should go to meet your new neighbors and make new friends. There are various clubs that you can join. And if you have a hobby and there isn’t a club for that hobby? Just start one. You’ll also discover that there are trips and activities, and also social gatherings. But there won’t be a pool party because the clubhouse at Silveridge Park West does not have a pool. However, the beaches at the Jersey Shore are nearby.
Transportation
The Ocean County transit system, Ocean Ride, provides bus transportation throughout Ocean County. 12 bus routes connect key residential areas with popular destinations such as shopping, and employment, in addition to social services. Furthermore, the Reserve-A-Ride Program provides door-to-door, non-emergency medical transportation service. This transports seniors (age 60 and over) to medical facilities in Ocean County. You’ll need to make advance reservations but a fee is charged.
In Toms River, New Jersey Transit operates a bus terminal. Connections to Lakewood and points north are available, as well as south to Atlantic City. Access to major roadways is easy, including the Garden State Parkway.
